SikaFields, Esoko's dedicated spin-off for grassroots carbon removal projects across Africa, recently hosted a stakeholder engagement event aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between key players in the environmental and agricultural sectors. Held with representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Forestry Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, district directors, farmer groups, community leaders, in-put dealers, and academic experts from the various geographical locations the project will operate. During the event, SikaFields' Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Daniel Asare-Kyei, underscored the importance of empowering rural communities to take an active role in addressing climate change. As he noted, “Climate change has traditionally been an elite conversation, excluding the very people who are most affected by it—our farmers. With SikaFields, we want to change that narrative and ensure that smallholder farmers are not only part of the solution but also economically benefit from it.”
