Pioneering Carbon
Credits for Africa

Sikafields uses a novel a blockchain portal (Web3) to facilitate the exchange of carbon credits. The business uses a two-fold approach to bring high integrity carbon credits to the global market. We develop carbon projects across Africa using a unique auditing and verification protocol and then transparently displays these high integrity carbon credits on a blockchain portal to facilitate the exchange of carbon credits for offsets revenues.

Sikafields web portal contains all data relating to the monitoring, verification and reporting  on all our carbon projects developed in Africa. In this blockchain portal, partners, potential investors and carbon brokers can transparently track the transactional history of the generated carbon credit in a single inter-phase.

USAID's Africa Trade and Investment Program implemented by DAI is providing technical and financial assistance to Esoko for the enrollment of thousands of small holder farm plots onto the carbon registry. This partnership is expected to on-board over 15 000 hectares of  small holder agroforestry fields in Ghana.

Open Forest Protocol

Based in Switzerland, Open Forest Protocol (OFP) offers a scalable, open platform for nature-based projects worldwide to Measure, Report, and Verify (MRV) their data. Eligible projects can also access carbon financing through this platform.
